From Bodegas Lan, this Rioja Gran Reserva 2011 is from the Rioja Alta region of Spain.
Made predominantly from Tempranillo grapes and a small percentage of Mazuelo grapes, grown on old, low-yielding bush vines, this wine has also spent 24 months in French and American oak.
The nose has ripe red strawberry and redcurrant as well as vanilla and cinnamon spice; the palate is full-bodied and round with plenty of oak influence.
